Celebrities are not only famous for their good looks but they are also known for the drastic changes they endure for the sake of beauty. Today, the world is filled with Photoshop and filters that make anyone look better than reality. And it is a lot easier to do this with celebrities who have a team of experts working on them every day. But it is always interesting to see what these stars looked like before their fame and fortune.

Sarah Geronimo

Filipina actress and singer, Sarah Geronimo started her career at the very young age of 12.

She became famous after she won the Star for a Night singing contest back in 2002.

Her first album was Popstar: A Dream Come True. Now she is the country’s pop superstar and dominates TV and music in the Philippines.

Angel Locsin

Angel Locsin is a famous actress and humanitarian whose film debut was as the young Robina Gokongwei in the 2000 biographical Ping Lacson: Super Cop.

She then went on to sign a management deal with GMA Network and get her first television role as a series regular in the second season of the teen show Click.

Locsin's career-defining role came in the 2004 show Mulawin where she played a part-avian and part-human hybrid protagonist.

GMA Network executives initially offered the role to Maxene Magalona, but she turned it down and suggested Angel Locsin play the part.

Anne Curtis

Anne Curtis is a talented TV host, model, entrepreneur, and singer. She has starred in international movies like Blood Ranson and the primetime soap opera "Maging Sino Ka Man" among others.

Being 12 years old at the time, Curtis was recently approached by a talent scout to see if she wanted to enter a children's beauty pageant. Her father was skeptical about it, but her mother wanted to try it out.

Without her dad’s knowledge, she started auditioning for acting gigs in the Philippines, and after that everything was history.

Bea Alonzo

Born Phylbert Angelli Ranollo Fagestrom is a Filipina-British actress well-known for her role as ‘Bash’ in the movie “One More Chance” alongside matinee idol John Lloyd Cruz.

Early on in her career, Alonzo's debut album entitled ‘The Real Me’ was released under Star Records.

In the same year as her musical pursuits, she bagged the role of the character, Betty Pengson, in the TV sitcom ‘Yo Soy Betty La Fea’ a Colombian TV series.

The Philippines' adaptation was entitled ‘I Love Betty La Fea’ and ran in a primetime slot which made Alonzo a household name.

James Reid

In the span of his career, James has done a range of work as an actor, model and music producer. He was famous for his work alongside Nadine Lustre who is also in our then and now list.

After winning the big prize on Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010, Reid has been acting professionally since 2010.

Janella Salvador

Janella Salvador is an singer and actress and daughter of 90s starlet Jenine Desiderio.

After her first stint on National Tv in the 2012 hit show “Be Careful with My Heart”, she garnered more roles and starred in shows like Oh My G!, Born for You, and Mars Ravelo's Darna.

Kim Chiu

Life for Kim started to change for the better after winning The Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition which she won in 2005, she has been able to film not just one but 15 blockbuster films since then.

Forbes Asia named her as one of the “social media’s most influential celebrities” because of her huge Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube following.

Marian Rivera

Wife of showbiz royalty Ding Dong Dantes, Marian is a recording artist, actress, and commercial model. Her fame as an actress has made her recognizable for such roles in Marimar, Dyesebel, Amaya, Darna, and Temptation of Wife.

She was named by FHM Magazine as the Sexiest Woman in 2008, 2013, and 2014. Marian is one of the members of the committee responsible for choosing the winner of Miss Universe 2021.

Nadine Lustre

She first rose to fame as the lead actress in the movie “Diary ng Panget”. She stars alongside James Reid in the film, which catapulted both to superstardom.

Delightful 8-year-old Lustre began her illustrious TV career as the co-host of government-owned network RPN's children's show “Storyland”. She was also featured as a child host in Disney Channel Asia at the beginning of her career.

Vice Ganda

Of all the Filipino celebrities, Vice Ganda stands out as one of the funniest and most beloved personalities. He is a comedian, talk show host, television presenter, actor, and singer who has achieved a lot over his career.

Vice is a regular host on ABS-CBN's noontime variety show It's Showtime and has starred in several films, a lot of which were among the Philippines’ blockbuster films. It seems that anything Vice Ganda touches turns to gold.

Vicki Gonzalez Belo-Kho is the CEO of Belo Medical Group, a prestigious skin care clinic. She is not just any normal doctor, but a celebrity in her own right. She has appeared on countless TV specials, and is hailed as the “Celebrity Skin Doctor”. Other than her title as the country’s renowned beauty doctor, she is also a Youtuber with 1.25 million subscribers and a huge following on Instagram.
