BALMORAL CASTLE—Queen Elizabeth II died at age of 96. She became the country's longest-serving monarch after taking the throne back in 1952 and has been the people’s Queen to many throughout her 70-year reign.

All of the Queen's children went to Balmoral, a royal residence in north-east Scotland after doctors placed her under medical supervision and ordered her special care. Her grandson, Prince William was by her side while Prince Harry was on his way.

With the Queen’s passing, her eldest offspring Charles will head the country and act as their new king for 14 other Commonwealth realms.

His Majesty King Charles III recently released a statement saying,

“The death of my beloved mother Her Majesty the Queen, is a moment of the greatest sadness for me and all members of my family.”
