Chan, 77, is a Filipino singer and songwriter famous for classic Christmas songs like Christmas In Our Hearts, A Perfect Christmas, and many more.

His mother Florencia Lim, often played the piano for him while his grandma from Cebu influenced his musical taste as she always had ballads playing at home. Chan’s father, a sugar trader, was an immigrant to the Philippines from Fujian, China. He was slightly opposed to him becoming a musician because he wanted him to be a businessman. But his creativity and knack for composing songs showed that he was meant to be in the music industry.
